Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research |
|
WelcomeWelcome to the ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research! Founded in 1963, the ICPSR Summer Program is recognized throughout the world as the preeminent forum for basic and advanced training in the methodologies and technologies of social science research. We serve a diverse multidisciplinary and international constituency. Our general instructional philosophy emphasizes the integration of methodological strategies with the theoretical and practical concerns that arise in research on substantive social issues. The ICPSR Summer Program also creates a unique and supportive social environment which facilitates professional networking and encourages the exchange of ideas about the theory and practice of social science research. Thank you for your interest in the ICPSR Summer Program! We have already started working on the 2009 course schedule, and will post information as soon as it becomes available. Meanwhile, please feel free to browse this site to learn about ICPSR, the Summer Program, our courses, our instructors, and visitor information for Ann Arbor. William G. Jacoby |
Announcements2008 ICPSR Summer Program The 2008 ICPSR Summer Program was a great success! Our first five-day workshops began on June 2. The two four-week sessions ran from June 23 through July 18, and from July 21 through August 15.
2009 ICPSR Summer Program We have already started planning for the 2009 Summer Program. Most of the four-week statistical and substantive courses from the 2008 schedule will be offered again in 2009. Similarly, we anticipate that many of the three- to five-day workshops on statistical topics will appear again on the 2009 schedule. However, the three- to five-day substantive workshops tend to change from year to year; we will provide information as soon as it is available.
